Paddle through the mangroves where the landscapes and the wildlife are the main attractions. A 3-hour/8km guided tour, enjoy the birdwatching (flamingos*, ospreys, ibis, herons, egrets, and much more). The first part is a 1km trip close to the sandbar, then you’ll go to the entrance (Rio Kuka) to start a 6km circuit into the hearth of the mangroves channels. In the middle of the circuit, there’s a break for hydration.
You will find many companies offering the kayak tour. We personally know the guide of Holbox Extreme, Alberto, and he is a very cool guy and knows a lot about animals and nature. It is not the cheapest company but it has the best reviews on google. Our recommendation would be with him. We could get you a 10% discount over the prices shown on their website
There is a cheaper operator we can help you book with, Azul Tourquesa, they are good too but we haven´t done the tour with them so we don´t know the guides.
